The Birchwhisk is perhaps the most popular among various types of sauna whisks.

Our exclusive, original, and high-quality birch whisk is meticulously crafted from fresh branches of leafy, non-flowering silver birch trees (Latin name: Betula pendula). Only the flexible front ends of the birch branches are used, ensuring a gentler and more pleasant experience on the skin. After binding the individual branches, the bundle is dried in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

The water in which the birch whisk was soaked (birch brew) is ideal for sauna infusions. Please follow the usage guidelines for this purpose. Due to its pleasantly intense aroma, the whisk can alternatively be hung in the sauna after soaking.

Birch leaves are rich in essential oils, vitamin C, and provitamin A.

Using a birch whisk (birkenquast) for massage is the best choice:

Use of the Whisks

Prior to utilizing the sauna whisks, it is advisable to spend a few minutes pre-sweating in the sauna to open up the pores. Simultaneously, immerse the sauna whisks in water (30 minutes cold, followed by 2 minutes hot). After taking a shower, re-enter the sauna and employ the sauna whisk. Glide the whisk in sweeping motions across the entire body, maintaining a horizontal position for an even heat distribution.
