For over 100 years, the family business Niederkofler has been producing essential oils and herbal products, now in its fourth generation. In 1912, the foundation for the later Latschenölbrennerei "Bergila" was laid when Johann Niederkofler Senior began distilling pine, Swiss pine, and juniper in the middle of the forest in Issing, selling their oil as a home remedy.

Franz Niederkofler witnessed firsthand how the family business grew. Today, four generations later, the Niederkofler family continues to lead "Bergila" with the same passion. They respectfully preserve the knowledge of their ancestors for future generations.
